There are a number of ways to participate in the life of the church.

Altar Service

There is always a need for assistance in the altar during services. Men and boys old enough to serve are encouraged to contact Father Peter to discuss becoming an Altar server.

The choir and chanters sing at all services and liturgies in the church. Music is an important part of all services of the church. Anyone interested in joining the choir should contact our director, Andy Mahoney. Those interested in chanting during vespers, orthros, and other services should contact Father Peter.

Ladies Guild

The St. Basil Ladies Guild is an active community of women in the church who come together to perform works of charity, support the functioning of the church, and socialize. Meetings are regularly held on the 2nd Sunday every month after liturgy. All women are welcome to attend.

St. Joseph Men’s Fellowship

The St. Joseph Men’s Fellowship organization was recently started in the parish, allowing the men of the church to regularly get together and support the church and interact socially. Those interested should contact Ted Brewer. Meetings are regularly the 2nd Saturday of the month after Vespers.

SOYO is an organization for the teens and youth of the parish to provide them with a means of socializing, performing charity, and participating in the life of the church.

Sunday School

St. Basil has an active Sunday School program for children in Pre-K through high school. All children are encouraged to attend to learn about the Orthodox Christian faith. Adults interested in being Sunday School teachers are encouraged to contact Father Peter.
